The 6th
Sreemad Bhaagavata Tattva Sameekshaa Satram will be
held in Naimishaaranyam, Paralikad, Trichur, from 22nd
to 30th December 2007 at the sacred precincts of
Tacchanatthukavu Devi Temple.
The Satram aims at instilling the values
expounded in the Text making them
‘the warp and woof of daily
life’. More than
40 distinguished exponents – sannyaasins and scholars – will be speaking on
the great Text, emphasizing its philosophy, deeper values and principles.
Thousands of devotees from different villages and cities are expected to
assemble in Naimisharanyam daily, to listen to the 9-day exposition.
Over 1000 devotees will participate in the
Vishnusahasranaama Saarvajanika Yajña on 30th December 2007. Every devotee
will have the opportunity to worship the Lord with flowers (arcana) and
witness oblations (havana).
On 22nd November at 9:15 a.m. Poojya Swamiji, in
the presence of many devotees who had assembled for the occasion, erected the
Satram Pandal Post, symbolizing commencement of preparatory activities.
13th Annual Geeta Tattva Sameeksha (in Malayalam) will be held between
20 and 27 January
2007 at the
Vadakkunathan Temple Sreemoolasthaanam, Thrissur. Poojya Swamiji will speak on
the 13th chapter (kshetra-kshetrajna-vibhaaga yoga).
Delhi Jnaana Yajna: Poojya Swamiji, along with Ma and Nutan Swamiji
arrived at CIRD, Vasundhara, on Oct 23. Guru Arcana was performed on
Oct 24. A series of discourses on “Individual & Societal Values in Sreemad
Bhaagavatam” was conducted by Poojya Swamiji from Oct 26 to Oct 30 in
Chinmaya Mission Auditorium.
Classes on “Integration of Jnaana, Bhakti &
Karma” based on Sreemad Bhaagavatam were conducted by Ma Gurupriya from
Oct 27 to Nov 01. Poojya Swamiji took early morning classes from Nov 02 to Nov
11 on “Harnessing
Inner Resources for Interactional Excellence”
based on Vivekachoodmani. On Nov 04, Vishnusahasranama Saarvajanika Yajña
was conducted at CIRD. About six hundred devotees participated in the
Yajna.
Poojya Swamiji was invited by Ramakrishna
Mission, New Delhi to speak on “Relevance of Temples in Daily Life” on
Nov 16, in connection with the Golden Jubilee of the consecration of the
Temple of Sri Ramakrishna Dev.
Poojya Swamiji along with Ma returned to the
Ashram on Nov 18. Nutan Swamiji will continue to stay at CIRD till Dec 03.
International Volunteers’ Meet (IVM): About thirty five selected
participants from different Centres all over the world will attend IVM to be
conducted during Dec 20-26, to undergo deeper saadhana. The Meet will also
focus on issues like spreading Poojya Swamiji’s message to different sections
of the society, bringing out new publications, coordinating different
activities at various centres, helping each other in organizing Poojya
Swamiji’s Jnaana Yajna and other related activities.
With the Centre for Inner Resources Development
being active in Malaysia, USA, Chennai and Jamshedpur, in addition to the one
in New Delhi, there has been a greater measure of dedication and enthusiasm in
the devotees and seekers to work for the unified dissemination of spiritual
knowledge.
On November 21, Poojya Swamiji inaugurated the recently built Satsang Hall in
Omkarashramam, Deshamangalam, Thrissur District, by lighting the lamp. An
audience, specially gathered for the occasion, heard Swamiji’s benedictory
message. Swamiji said that in Sreemad Bhaagavatam, the whole narration has the
sole aim of exhorting people to install the Lord in their heart, by means of
simple and pure love. Such an unbreakable bond is verily the supreme goal of
human life. This alone will rid the mind of all sufferings and bestow
unsullied joy and fulfilment, Swamiji emphasized.
