Edition of “Vicharasetu –
the
Path of Introspection”
Readers
who have been requesting Poojya Swamiji for a monthly Malayalm journal
will be pleased to learn that the inaugural issue of the Malayalam
edition of “Vicharasetu” was released at the Sreemad Bhaagavata
Tattva Sameeksha Satram, on 25th December 2005. All
requests for renewal or new subscriptions to Vicharasetu may be sent to
the Ashram clearly indicating the language of publication.
Annual
Subscription: Rs 50/- (within India)
and Rs 750/- (Foreign – by air). Payment may be made by MO, cheque or
DD payable at Thrissur, favouring “Narayanashrama Tapovanam”. Bank
charges Rs 35/ may be added for outstation cheques. |

Release
of the 4th Malayalam book on Sreemad Bhaagavatam
During
the inauguration of Sreemad Bhaagavata Tattva Sameekshaa Satram in Thrissur on
24th December, 2005, the 4th Malayalam book written by Poojya Swamiji on
Sreemad Bhaagavatam, Dharmamoolyangal
Bhaagavata-Vaakyangalil (Dhaarmik Values in
Sreemad Bhaagavatam) was released by Swami Sakranandaji Maharaj, former
President of Sri Ramakrishna Math (Thrissur). The book, based on the 7th
skandha, elucidates how the values and wisdom in the Text can become the warp
and woof of our daily life. (Pages 160)
The 16th Mahasamaadhi day
of Mataji Sulabha Devi was
observed in the Ashram on December 17. Paada-pooja to Poojya Gurudev was
performed by Yogesh (son of Smt Sumam and Sri Narayanan Nambiar) and Aravindan
(son of Smt Geetha and Sri Madhavan Warrier), on behalf of all the devotees.
The function was attended by more than 300 devotees including about 100
children. In the evening a Daana Satra was held distributing 3kg rice packets
to about 100 recipients.
Sreemad Bhaagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram:
Poojya Swamiji inaugurated the 4th annual event on 24th December ’05. Poojya
Purushothama Swamiji hoisted the Dharma-dhvaja.
Poojya Swami Sakranandaji Maharaj of Sree Ramakrishna Math (Thrissur), gave
the presidential address.
The Sree
Krishna Yatra that started from Guruvayoor on 20th, Dharma-dhvaja Yatra from
Tiruvilvamalai on 21st and Sreemad Bhaagavata Grantha Yatra from
Narayanashrama Tapovanam on 22nd, culminated at “Naimishaaranyam”, in
Paralikkad, Thrissur, in the form of “Heritage Procession”. This
procession of devotees was led by sannyasins accompanied by percussion
instruments and caparisoned elephant.
The satra-saala
has been set up with elaborate preparations to conduct the grand
function, each day starting with Ganapathy Homam at 04.00 am and culminating
at 08.30 pm in naama-saakeertana and pradakshina.
The 11th Annual Geeta Tattva Sameeksha (Series of discourses in
Malayalam on Bhagavadgeeta) in Thrissur will be held between 22nd and 29th
January 2006 at the Vadakkunaathan Temple Sreemoolasthaanam.
42nd Jñaana yajña in Jamshedpur:
Poojya Swamiji along with Maa and Nutan Swamiji will leave for Jamshedpur on
Feb 07. They will halt at Kolkata for three days and reach Jamshedpur on 11th.
