On
June 5, Poojya Swamiji was invited to address the devotees attending the Hindu
Maha Sammelanam in Veda Vyasa Nagar, Ottapalam, a town about 40 Kms from
Thrissur. Quoting a number of verses from Sreemad Bhaagavatam, Poojya Swamiji
explained how the great devotional Text has a bearing on our day to day life
and interactions and how they enrich one by bringing harmony and contentment.
On
13th June, Sri TN Chaturvedi, the Governor of Karnataka (also in charge of
Kerala then), visited the Ashram, to meet Poojya Swamiji. Poojya Swamiji and
the Governor exchanged views on a number of topics of national interest.
During
the informal discussion the Governor made an interesting observation that in
the olden days – during the rule of Kings in India – there was no
education minister. Because, education was a self-regulated process, resting
completely on the sincerity and dedication of the austere Teachers who
imparted knowledge in the Gurukula
style.
Later,
along with Poojya Swamiji, Ma and Naya Swamiji, he went around the Ashram and
was seen to appreciate the cleanliness and order everywhere.
Interactional
Excellence for Youth & Children: Poojya Swamiji conducted two separate
seminars on ‘Interactional Excellence’ for the youth and the children on
the 13th and the 20th June respectively, in the Ashram Vijnaana Bhavan.
The
first meeting on preparations for the 3rd Shreemad Bhaagavata Tattva Sameeksha
Satram to be held between December 22nd and January 2nd, took place in
Paralikad Annakshetra Auditorium on June 13. The meeting was attended by
Poojya Swamiji, Poojya Swami Purushothama Tirtha ji, the members of the
Central Committee, and the conveners and volunteers.
