The
latest book by Poojya Swamiji, “Genesis
& Relevance of Temple-worship”
(48 pages), was released on February 15 at Madrasi Sammelani during the 44th
Annual Jamshedpur Jnaana Yajna. The book is based on the talk given by Poojya
Swamiji at Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, on 16th November 2007. While
highlighting the greatness of our culture, which has instituted the art of
Temple-worship, Poojya Swamiji in this book points out that temple worship
marks only the beginning of one’ devotional pursuit, and it has to be refined
with scriptural enlightenment, to lead the devotee to his final goal.

The 11-day programme
consists of aachaarya varanam, prasaada-shuddhi, sthala-shuddhi,
different kinds of homa, kalasha poojaa and kalashaabhisheka.
All these rituals are intended to sanctify the Temple and enhance the
brilliance of the Deity.

Maharaj of Maharashtra, a sacred book (mahaa-grantham) containing the
four Vedas printed on 950 large pages was taken in procession from Paralikad
