35th Delhi Annual Jnana Yajna Poojya Swamiji, along with Ma and Nutan
Swamiji will leave the Ashram for Delhi on Oct 29. They will stay at CIRD, Vasundhara, till Nov 26.
Guru-archana will be on Nov 01 (9:30 am) at CIRD. Poojya Swamiji’s 5-day discourses (“Where lies Life’s
Success & Fulfillment” – based on Bhagavadgeeta) will be from Nov 08 through Nov 12 (6:30 pm), at
Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, 89 Lodhi Road. Swamiji will take classes on Vivekachudamani at CIRD from
Nov 02 to 08 (07:30 am). There will be morning classes (07:30 am) at CIRD by Nutan Swamiji on Bhagavadgeeta
from Nov 09 to 14, and by Ma on Shreemad Bhagavatam from Nov 15 to 20. Devotees can have satsang with
Poojya Swamiji on Nov 7, 8, 14 & 15 (10:45-11:30 am), and also daily evening (6:00-7:30 pm), except when Poojya Swamiji
has a programme outside CIRD. Vishnu Sahasranama Sarvajanika Yajna, will be conducted on Nov 22 (9:30 am).

8th Shreemad Bhagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram: will be held from December 25, 2009 to
January 3, 2010 in Paralikkad Naimisharanyam, in the sacred precincts of Tacchanatthukavu Devi Temple.
Narayanashrama Tapovanam and Hind Navotthana Pratishtan will be conducting the event jointly.
Over 30 distinguished exponents, sanny¡sins and scholars, will expose the listeners to the invaluable inner
treasure. Thousands of people are expected to assemble everyday. The arrangements include anna-dana for all,
accommodation for outstation seekers and scholars, the spacious pandal, sound, light, first-aid, medical help,
water disposal, etc.
Over the years many facilities have been set up at Naimisharanyam. Kitchen, work-area, vegetable store, and
toilets are permanent structures now. Construction of Pravaktr Dhama, to host speakers, taken up emergently
on 17th August, is expected to be ready for use this time.
Processions (yatra) for bringing the (i) Sri Krishna idol (ii) Dharma-dhvaja and (iii) Shreemad Bhagavata
Grantha, will form part of the event. As in earlier years, essay writing, Shreemad Bhagavata hymns recital,
and elocution competitions are being arranged for different age groups, to imbue a lasting effect in the
society. Vishnu-sahasranama Sarvajanika Mahayajna, will be held on the concluding day (January 03, 2010),
where over 1000 people will perform archana and havan, with the specific sankalpa of bringing prosperity,
unity, inner strength and welfare for one and all.
Chennai Jnana Yajna: Poojya Swamiji arrived at Chennai on Oct 01. Due to sudden ill
health, and as advised by the doctors, Ma’s trip to Chennai had to be cancelled. Nutan Swamiji was required to
stay back in the Ashram to complete some important items of work before the forthcoming Delhi visit. The threeday
series of discourses (Oct 02-04) on the “Universal Concepts in Bhagavadgeeta” was organized by CIRD-Chennai at the
Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium. Poojya Swamiji returned to the Ashram on Oct 06.
Sewing Machine Distribution: As part of the annual Anna-vastra Dana Satra, 40 sewing machines
(pedestal) were procured for distributing to the indigent women. 20 of them were distributed at Narayanashrama Tapovanam
on Oct 16. The remainder will be distributed from Vyasa Tapovanam shortly. Based on the applications received, volunteers
had visited the houses of the selected recipients to verify their details. Before receiving the machines, recipients
demonstrated, as usual, their sewing skill. During the distribution, Poojya Swamiji explained that the object of providing
the machines was to generate self-employment.
Sep 26: Poojya Swamiji gave a talk on devotion highlighting the story of Prahlada and Uddhava at the
Sri Karthyayani Bhagavathy Temple, Panangattukar, near Wadakkanchery on the occasion of the Lalita Sahasranama Laksharchana
arranged by the Temple Committee.
Sep 27: Poojya Swamiji was invited by the Kodakara Putthukavu Devi Temple Committee to address the Dharma
Sthapana Sadas (Assembly for establishing Dharma) on the occasion of Devi Bhagavata Navaha Yajna (nine-day exposition
of Devi Bhagavatam). True dhaarmic devotion consists in incorporating the right values, and eliminating the adhaarmic
traits, Poojya Swamiji said. He urged the organizers to drop family constrictions, and rise to a position whereby they
can advise various Devaswam Boards of the State, about administering Temples according to true principles of devotion
and devotional dharma.
Sep 28: Vijayadashami Day. Swamiji initiated many children into literacy (Vidyarambham) in the traditional
manner, at Sri Dakshinamoorthy Temple, Vyasa Tapovanam, Vyasagiri, Wadakanchery.

Oct 11: Poojya Swamiji presided over the Committee Meeting of the 8th Sreemad Bhagavata Tattva Sameeksha
Satram at the Annakshetra Auditorium of Paralikkad. The same evening, a meeting was convened at the Ashram’s Vijnana Bhavan,
in which the Managing Committee officials of temples in Paralam Panchayat, as well as devotees of the region took part. The
objective was to strengthen and support the 8th Satram in Paralikkad. Sri Vadassery Thankappan was elected as Convenor and
Sri Pazhor Appukuttan as Treasurer.
Oct 17: Swamiji was invited by Vivekananda Bala Vikas Kendra, Chalakudy, Thrissur, to inaugurate the Kutumba
Sangamam (Family Meet) on the occasion of their tenth anniversary. While evaluating the social work of the Kendra, which is being
run in a creditable manner, Swamiji dealt with the subject of children-parent relationship, and the need for preserving dhaarmic
discipline and values, which are the fundamentals for building societal strength and cohesion.
Oct 18: Poojya Swamiji visited Kizhakkedathu Mana, Cheruvathery, near Palakkal, Thrissur, on the occasion of
Ashtalakshmi Pooja, performed by Sri Madhavan Namboodiri, a well-known young puraanic exponent. During the meeting of ‘well
wishers and devotees’ held on the occasion, Swamiji spoke about the meaning and relevance of worship and pooja-rituals, explaining
how such divine occasions and performances elevate the mind from the usual mundane occupations.
Oct 18: Nearly one hundred and twenty-five devotees from Thrissur and surrounding villages attended the weekly
Vivekachudamani class at the Vijnana Bhavan in the Ashram.
