DMRC Aligns with FRNV: India now has a world class Metro in Delhi. Over
8 lakhs of people are benefited by this facility every day. But DMRC is facing
the problem of passengers not utilizing the facilities with proper discipline
and concern.
Recently DMRC’s Inspection Squad on spot-checking fined
offenders for ticketless and under ticket travelling, usurping the seats meant
for women and senior citizens, squatting on the floor area, etc. But the
problem continues. Greater effort for building awareness is necessary to set
right matters. In accomplishing this new objective and bringing orderliness
and discipline in the passengers, DMRC has sought cooperation and guidance
from FRNV, to launch value-inculcation programmes for commuters, with the
participation of willing commuter volunteers. FRNV will cooperate in this
joint value training moves by providing the necessary guidance.

of Companies (Dubai) organized a concert of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsan and Loy

Chennai on Sep 04 from Kuala Lumpur. The 3-day (Sep 05 to 07) series of
evening talks on “Role of Self-effort in Spiritual Life” was conducted
at Sadguru Gnanananda Hall of Narada Gana Sabha. Dr Koda Venkateswara Sastri,
an exponent of ¿¡stras, invited as the chief guest on the inaugural day,
garlanded Poojya Swamiji and spoke a few words of appreciation.
With verses from the Bhagavadgeeta and the Yogavaasishtha
Ramayanam, PoojyaSwamiji emphasized that fruition of spiritual pursuit rests
on one’s own selfeffort (paurusha). In fact, all the achievements are
results of one’s paurusha alone. One should apply his paurusha
in a proper manner. If wrongly applied, it will lead one to unrighteous
activities, while its benevolent application will take one to the Ultimate
Truth.
On 8th September morning, a Satsang was held at Sri

FRNV Meeting at Chennai: 5th Joint Meeting of the Advisory Board and
Organizing Committee of FRNV was held on Sep 06 at IMAGE (Indian Bank
Management Academy for Growth & Excellence) Auditorium. Apart from Poojya
Swamiji, Dr E Sreedharan, Sri N Vittal, and the office bearers of FRNV, nearly
40 prominent citizens of Chennai, known for their leadership in various
fields, attended the meeting as special invitees. In his address, Poojya
Swamiji said: “FRNV’s object is to make our citizens true lovers of the
Nation, so that every national irresistibly feels that nothing harmful to the
Nation’s growth and development can be caused or allowed.”
Sri N Vittal shared his ideas on how to implement Poojya
Swamiji’s vision effectively. Lamenting the fact that we have been destroying
the spirit of nationalism after independence, he said: “Our commitment to the
society is a complement to our own enrichment. When the society prospers we
too flourish. We need to create an environment for this win-win situation.” Dr
Sreedharan emphasized the need to root out corruption, and reiterated that it
is for us in FRNV to arrest this decline of values. There was a Press Meet
after the Meeting, which was well attended by Media and Channel
representatives. Sri P Venkatesh was nominated as the Convener of Chennai
Regional Chapter of FRNV. The Organizing Committee Meeting the next day, Sep
07, focused on planning the forthcoming National Summit, activities of
