THRISSUR, JUNE 21: A two-day 'brain stimulating' workshop for selected senior corporate executives will be held at Narayanashrama Tapovanam, on June 28 and 29.

The basic theme of the workshop, conducted by the scholar and exponent of Vedanta and head of the Tapovanam, Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, is 'Excellence and beyond - harnessing your inner resources'. Participation in the session is by invitation and no fee is charged for the programme.

Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha said that the workshop was designed to explore the concept of excellence in its amplitude and profundity and will take participants to what lies beyond conventional concepts of excellence.

He pointed out that in their efforts to maximize their potential, many corporate leaders and executives miss the singular fact that the most powerful of all resources is to be found within them.

The proposed session will be the second bi-annual 'brain stimulatium' conducted by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, the first being the one held at the Narayanashrama Tapovanam's unit - Centre for Inner Resources Development - near New Delhi in November last year.

The number of participants has been limited to 15.


 
Workshop for corporate leaders - 25 June 2003, The Hindu

Thrissur, JUNE 24: The Centre for Inner Resources Development (CIRD), a unit of the Narayanashrama Tapovanam near here, is conducting a two-day workshop for corporate leaders across the country on June 28 and 29.

A release from the CIRD said the two-day residential programme to be held at the Tapovanam, would help corporate leaders to rediscover their inner resources and to deploy them to address the challenging tasks expected of the participants in their area of work and life as a whole.

Titled 'Excellence and beyond - harnessing your inner resources', the two-day workshop is designed to explore the concept of excellence in its amplitude and profundity and would take the participants to what lies beyond conventional concepts of excellence, the release said.

In a unique and enlightening exposure, the participants would be guided to discover the new dimensions of leadership and to harness the unlimited potential of the mind to find joy as a sure associate of performance.

Among other things, the workshop would also help the participants strike a harmonious balance and integrate professional, domestic and social involvement into a viable composite.

The release said this is the second biannual workshop for senior managers being conducted by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, head of the Tapovanam.

VENGINISSERY (THRISSUR), JUNE 28: Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha inaugurated the two-day 'Brain Stimulatium', an interactive session for corporate executives, organized by the Centre for Inner Resources Development of Narayanashrama Tapovanam, here today.

He said that the workshop will provide the participants an opportunity to review the problems and the challenges and help them to arrive at solutions. It would enable them to discover and recognise the inner resources in them.

The participation to the workshop was by invitation and was restricted to 14 top executives from both the public and the private sector enterprises.

The participants included Satish Kumar and Ravinder Nath Joshi, both directors of Delhi Metro Project, Suresh Kumar, general manager, Hindustan Latex, Rajiv Vasudevan, OSD Techno Park, G C Gopala Pillai, managing director KINFRA, C N Parameswaran, managing director Aswini Hospital, Thrissur, G S Nayar, managing director, Ojus Healthcare, Bangalore, Balasubramaniam, director, Mangal Tirth Estate, P Sivasankaran, managing director, ACME Marketing, S Meganathan, managing director, Rajalakshmi Engineering college (all from Chennai), R C Sastry director, Stony Carter Consultants, Ramesh Kundalia and Manju Kundalia, directors Prajna Technologies (all from Hyderabad).

The session commenced with the participants introducing themselves and highlighting some of the challenges faced by them in their work environment as well as in the family. While all the participants faced problems on their professional fronts ranging from motivating personnel and answerability to their shareholders, all of them had one problem in common - than of an unfulfilling family life.

Almost everyone admitted that his family life was not what he would have liked it to be. In their zeal to excel and deliver, they found little time to spend with their near and dear ones resulting in conflicts and tensions.

In response, Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha said the workshop would provide them with sufficient inputs to enable them to take up further pursuits gainfully.

THRISSUR. JUNE 28:
A two-day workshop organized by the Narayanashrama Tapovanam, Venginissery, near here for senior executives was inaugurated by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha today. Speaking on the occasion the Swamiji said the workshop would provide the participants with an opportunity to review the problems and challenges faced by them in their own work spheres and arrive at solutions. He said this would be achieved through the discovery and recognition of the rich inner resources within each participant. The sessions in the workshop have been designed to accelerate this self-discovery and recognition of the inner strength of the participants.
