Sreemad Bhaagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram
at
Paralikad
Thacchanaathukkavu Devi precincts
Trichur
Dist., Kerala, India.

24th
December 2005
to
1st
January 2006
Dear and blessed Souls:
Harih
Om Tat Sat. We are glad to inform you that the Fourth
Annual Sreemad
Bhaagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram will be held
from 24th December
2005 to 1st January 2006 in Parlikad Naimishaaranyam,
the sacred precincts of Tacchanatthukavu Devi Temple
associated with Ascetics.
Pandavagiri Narayanashrama Tapovanam and
Vyasagiri Hind Navotthana Pratishtan will, as
before, be jointly sponsoring the event.
Thousands
of devotees from villages and cities will assemble
in Naimishaaranyam daily for the great
occasion, aimed at bestowing on those present the
unique Sreemad Bhaagavata elixir. Many a village and
town eagerly await this holy event of year.
Knowledge
of the Supreme Truth, holds Sreemad Bhaagavata, is
the only means to deliver human mind from the
three-fold afflictions of the world. By exposing the
profound Bhaagavata thoughts and values, the Tattva
Sameeksha Satram will instil deeper wisdom, greater
expanse and dispassion. The matchless interaction
kindles Divinity, Bliss and Immortality at every
stage by engendering Wisdom, Expanse and Inner
strength.
Over
40 distinguished exponents will be expatiating on
the invaluable spiritual treasure. It is a rare
occasion to listen to so many tapaswins,
scholars and philosphical thinkers on the values and
truths propounded in Sreemad Bhaagavatam. We
earnestly desire that thousands of people get
enlightened and enriched, making Sreemad
Bhaagavata values ‘the
warp and woof of their daily life’.
Sri
Krishna Yatra from
Guruvayur, Dharma
Dhvaja Yatra from Tiruvilvamalai and Sreemad
Bhaagavata Grantha Yatra from Narayanashrama
Tapovanam are some of the pre-Satram events, planned
to generate public awareness for gaining right
knowledge of our Dharma and heritage. Welcomed en
route with bhojana-dravya-samarpanam
(offering of materials for anna-daana),
these Yatras will announce the holy event to the residents of surrounding
areas. Dharma
Ratha Yatra in and around Paralikad
Naimisharanyam
will also be conducted as in the past.

Sreemad
Bhaagavata Grantha Yatra starts
from Narayanashrama Tapovanam
The
inauguration on 24th December will be marked by
“Heritage procession” in which Sreemad
Bhaagavata Ratham, accompanied by Sannyaasins will
be led by devotees with percussion instruments and
caparisoned elephant. On reaching the Satrashala
through the public road Sannyaasins will be received
with Poorna Kumbham. After hoisting Dharma-dhvaja,
they will be led to their seats with traditional taalappoli.
A collective paada
pooja will be performed for the spiritual heads.

Hoisting
Dharma-dhvaja
The
concluding day, 1st January 2006, will be the
greatly benedictory Vishnu-sahasranaama
Saarvajanik Mahaayajna, wherein 1,000 odd
people led by Sannyaasins will be collectively
performing archana
and havan.
More
than 4000 people from far and near are expected to
assemble in Naimishaaranyam everyday. With
anna-daana for all, lodging for outstation devotees,
30,000 sq. feet of pandal, sound and light, comfort
stations, first aid and medical help, arrangements
for scholars, etc., the estimated cost
is Rs. 25 lakhs or more. This
year, with
a view to strengthen the efforts of volunteering and
allied matters, we have, after deliberation opted
for a 9 day Satram.
Devotion
and God being the sole strength for conducting any
such event, the
participation and offerings from those inspired by
devotion to the Supreme Reality and love for Dharma
are the only resource available for us.
As
widespread delusion and misdirection prevail about
the ‘true values’ of human life as well as
religion, it becomes incumbent on every votary of
Dharma to involve, support and strengthen the event
and ensure the real growth and prosperity of his
lineage.
Besides
recital of the Text in Sanskrit,
the language will mainly be regional.
The great holy event has, however, its auspicious
benediction on entire humanity. To participate in
this event – as
a listener or a distant supporter – is
rewarding in many ways. It bestows a rare fortune
and blessing on your family.
Sreemad
Bhaagavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram offers a great
opportunity for all to participate mentally,
materially and/or physically, feel fulfilled and
earn lasting blessings of the Lord.
